About Wintermute Studios (me)...
 |
Wintermute Studios is the name I used to make my games sound like they are done by some huge
multi-national corporation. In reality, it's just me, David "Duzz" LLoyd, working from
a granny-flat in suburban Australia. This site is home to various freeware games I've made. Have a look around, and enjoy.
I'm currently working as a games programmer for Redtribe.
I've worked on a couple of projects I'm not
particularly proud of, but if the company manages
to stay on it's feet, things are starting to look better with a really sweet original project I'm involved in.

Kudos:
Many thanks must go to Chris Jones and his creation of
Adventure Game Studio, without which these adventure games
would never have been made, and I may never have found my way into the games biz.
News:
8 October 2009
It's done! DuzzQuest2 is finally on shelves. Go get your copy now!
28 September 2009
I'm enjoying a little unscheduled time off work currently, and I've been putting some quality time into DuzzQuest2.
I'm happy to say it looks like it's going to finally get done. I've been re-mixing some original music that Jon Bampton and I have recorded over the last couple of years, and I've had some great help with beta-testing.
There's also a new trailer up on the DuzzQuest2 page for you to check out.

Long time no see. The site's been down for quite some time, just got around to putting it back up.
I scored myself a games programmer job, which is the reason the site fell in to disrepair and for the last couple of years
DuzzQuest2 has been sitting at around 90% completion. I haven't given up completely yet, but don't hold your breath for it's release.
27 January 2006
Well, uni is finished with forever, and I've been working steadily on
DuzzQuest2 since November.
I would have updated sooner only my uni server quota was cut now that I've finished, and
I had to find alternate server space for a couple of things before I could update.
During the semester I didn't have a chance to work on DQ2, spending most of my spare time
working on The Cube from Outer Space for uni. But since then
I've been making a lot of progress. Don't hold your breath though, there's still a lot
to do.
1 August 2005
Back to uni and DQ2 progress has abated somewhat.
A lot was done in the hol's though: The plot is pretty much finalized now, and the game is playable
right up to the last dramatic sequence, although it is still very sketchy in places, with many
placeholder graphics.
Amongst a lot of other graphical additions, five new backgrounds were finalised bringing the completed
total to 26 out of an estimated 40.
8 July 2005
As you can see, the new site is finally up. Huzzah!
